ABOUT

where differences
are celebrated

My leadership philosophy is rooted in the fundamental belief that every person deserves respect, inclusion, and equality.

DR. SHIRLEY J. KNOWLES,
MLD, MA, MSc.

From the corporate space to the classroom, from the global nonprofit to the hospital floor, people gravitate towards leaders who prioritize psychologically safe environments where all voices are heard, valued, and empowered to contribute meaningfully.

As an international leadership and DEI consultant, my goal is to ensure all current and aspiring leaders aim to create a culture of fairness and justice, that ensure opportunities are accessible to everyone, promoting a sense of belonging and trust within their teams or communities. Simply put: without trust, there is no team — or community.

Inclusion and respect are the cornerstones of my leadership approach, which have help to guide my success as a DEI executive domestically and internationally. I pride myself on having the aptitude to listen carefully and empathetically, seeking and respecting diverse viewpoints, and cultivating an environment where differences are celebrated rather than marginalized. I am always learning — and I can’t wait to share my teachings with you.
